Gutters from Somerset!
Gutters are very closely associated with all of our paint projects.
The ideal situation when painting a home is to have the gutters removed.
This gives clear and free access to sand, prime, paint, repair, or
replace the fascia board behind the gutter. Normally
for an
exterior bid we will include a gutter estimate even with newer gutters
because removing gutters prior to painting is the right thing to
do.
Our gutters are seamless and are installed same to next day. We
do not install the gutter to the fascia board with gutter spikes because
they will eventually pull out. The weight of snow, ice, rain, and
wind will work the gutter away from the fascia causing it to rot.
We use invisible screw brackets to secure the gutters permanently and
the brackets are inside the trough itself so the gutter has the
appearance of a crown molding from the ground. Traditional
installation calls for gutter spikes every 16" causing dents and
eventual corrosion. Screw brackets are stainless, stronger,
hidden, and we do not charge a penny more for them.
